Playhead returns to start

Getting Stuff Done How do I .... ?

Ardour 8.10
when I stop the transport the playhead returns to the start.
Auto return is unchecked

In the menu bar:
Transport>Play>Play from Edit Point and Return

Is that checked?

Also check:
Transport>Auto-Return

Are either of those checked?
