Tuesday Jun 9 would have been Les Paul’s 100th birthday.
Without a little creative thinking on his part, multitrack recording would not have arrived when it did.
Over the years, analog tape led to bits on a hard drive; the end result today being that we can record whole albums on a computer we could pick up on Craigslist for under $100, running an operating system we can get for free, and using software we can obtain for “at least $1.”
