Hey guys!
I’m new to Ardour and found a problem trying to mix a song that has two guitars, one panned hard right and the other hard left. I’m sending both of them to a stereo bus so I can control them as a group, but when they go through the bus they go back to the center. Any thoughts on what I’m doing wrong?

Is your send pre or post fader?
If it’s pre fader it’s probably pre pan as well.
a stereo track is not design to handle non-correlated material. same thing for a bus.
so, either
(a) read this: http://manual.ardour.org/mixing/panning/stereo_panner/
(b) don't use a stereo bus, but instead put them into a group and/or assign them to a VCA master
