In pianoroll window:
when dragging the (left) orange start-marker further to the left (outside the editing area) pushes all midi-notes in the region to the right.
Is this intended behaviour?
Or is it a bug? If so, I can report

Looks right to me, you’re basically inserting time at the beginning of the region.
Yes, it is intended behavior.
Ah ok, that’s clear. Thanks.
It’s a little bit of mystery of how the time in Piano-roll window corresponds to the Editor window. Relative region versus absolute track or something like that? I will read the manual again. In the meanwhile I will stay off the orange handles. It gives me a lot of errors like this.

What you are seeing in the pianoroll is an entirely region-centric timeline. That is, zero is the beginning of the region.
It has to be this way, because Ardour allows a region to occur in different places on the timeline, where the tempo may be different.
