I already made a post here about pitch correction plugins, but are there any plugins just for changing pitch overall, like Reaper’s ReaPitch, I think it was called? I recall it being a bit heavy on the cpu, but it would allow me to change the pitch and formant of all audio on a given track in real time, and thus, the pitching could be toggled on and off at will. I know I can raise the pitch of individual regions in Ardour, but if I’m trying to mess around and figure out what I actually want out of it, the process is a bit cumbersome. Ideally, I’d be able to toggle the plugin doing the pitch adjustment on and off in real time, and adjust the pitch shift and formant to my liking.
If anyone knows of an open source plugin that lets me do this kind of thing, let me know. Thanks!
Not Open Source but Linux native and you can use it for free (with some limitations):
The OP said they weren’t really looking for pitch correction, just pitch manipulation, also autotalent isn’t very highly regarded as a great solution for autotune, @x42 has a pitch correction plugin called ‘Auto Tune’ but it is for finer correction and doesn’t do formant correction.
I wonder why noone mentioned librubberband?
It can independently pitch shift and/or timestretch, sounds quite well IMHO, is available in all major Linux distros, is cross-platform, and exists as Vamp and LV2 plugins, or standalone CLI programs besides the library itself…
Try gform. For me the best pitch shifting tool, that keeps the formants pretty clear.

Ps: Gform is also available for linux. You have to download the whole gvst linux plugin-bundle.
I personally use Rubberband, the best quality in my eyes.
I think I use R3 Mono in Ardour, and it tends to work pretty well.
This looks great! I’ll try to compile it as a LV2 plugin, tho I’m not sure why I can’t just download it that way. I’m not the best at compilation and whatnot so here’s hoping I can get somewhere with it.
Please keep in mind that Ardour includes Rubberband, and uses it when you time stretch or change pitch as a non-realtime edit operation.
I didn’t even think about that to begin with, as I downloaded the package for it (which included the R3 variant). I appreciate the insight, though.
