No video Window in A3.2

I installed Ardour 3.2 and tried importing a video. The audio tracks and timeline video frames show up but there’s no video window. Under Windows menu if I uncheck and then re-check the box for Video Window, Ardour either crashes or says Jack has disconnected.

Where should I start looking for a solution to this problem?

The system is a new AV Linux 6.0.1 (32 bit PAE kernel); Ardour 3.2 was downloaded from here.

@anahata: if you installed 3.2 by downloading it from ardour.org then xjadeo is included and should just work. does /opt/Ardour-VERSION/bin/xjremote exist?

IIRC you need to install Xjadeo.
