I just installed Ardour on a Debian Squeeze platform this morning. When i first cranked it up I had microphone input but after a reboot I get nothing. I don’t think any settings changed, but I’m not very experienced with Ardour and don’t even know how to begin troubleshooting this. Can anyone help?
Check the device being used by Jack.

Open Jack Control and click the connect button. See how the captures are being routed into Ardour. One of them will be your mic (or two if stereo)
Fixed it; it was a capture settings issue.
