Newbie Yamaha DTX Recording Drums with Ardour

hEY gUYS,

I’m new to Ardour and am wanting to record my Yamaha DTX kit via Ardour, i have a midi - usb cable as well connected to either a desktop pc or a laptop.
I know with Pro Tools that there was a drum kit tool you could get that would adjust the mic and samples etc… i think it was called BFD.
Is there any equivalent for Ardour, preferably freeware, or low cost ?

Your help is most appreciated.

No released version of Ardour handles MIDI. Either you will need to record the audio out of a drum module, or you will need to use a different program.
