New video: Export to multiple formats

Mastering for different media requires extra work. Major streaming platforms have different ideas about what the perceived loudness of your music should be, and expect you to conform to them.

With Ardour, you don’t have to make all the relevant adjustments manually every time you need to export a project. Instead, you can export multiple variations of a mix from presets. Let’s learn how to do that!

Thanks for the video!

I like the new voice, but its recording lacks a bit in highs and the breathing is sometimes a bit too noticeable and for me a bit distracting. Probably just using a bit more distance from the mic would be enough. Or less compression. I dunno.

Other people complain that we use AI voices, but this proof of life is not great either then…

I can def take the breathing down a notch and treat the highs going forward.

Oh, don’t get me wrong. I thinks it’s an overall improvement over the previous videos.

Legend has it that no one has ever truly known how to properly pronounce “Ardour”.
And it’s a mystery that carries on to this day…

Is it 'Are-der’?

-or ‘Are-door’?

-or… perhaps even ‘Aw-daw’ (≈’Our daw’), as Paul the Wise once considered…

No one will ever know. :magic_wand:

A-Dur (as opposed to A-moll)

According to the sample… “Ar-der” But it doesn’t have the cool British accent, nobody says it with more err, uhm…ardour than @paul

Actually, that tiny audio sample of it sounds Irish to me, although it says “US”.
Do people in the US really say it like that?

Also…

Is this thing (A-Major in German) just a coincidence? O_o

UPDATE:
If anyone wants a crystal clear example of why NOT to EVER trust the super-ultra-confident AI chatbots, I discovered this out of curiosity (via duckduckgo):

HAHAHAHAHA :joy:
Oh, god, this is so sad and funny… :pensive:
And with such confidence and definitive assertion.

Eh-em…
→ Here’s the ACTUAL answer (-which I swear I knew, but totally forgot-):

What surprises me slightly (in a good way) is that it is spelt (sic) “Ardour” rather than the more standard US spelling “Ardor”.

You do know Paul is originally from England, right?

I did not.

Thanks for the feedback! I suppose I could gate the breathing out. I’m recording in a living room next to a busy road, so I was most concerned about the tractor-trailers in the background.
