New to Ardour - Help needed setting up midi master keyboard

Hi,
I’ve just downloaded the demo of Ardour and have connected my MIDI Keyboard and a MIDI Track. When I press a key on the keyboard there is a signal registered on the MIDI track and the Master track meters and I get a Hammond Organ Sound.
For the MIDI track I have ACE reasonable Synth selected but when I Right Click and select Patch Selector, regardless of which patch I select, I always get the Hammond organ sound !

Could someone tell me what I’m doing wrong?

ACE reasonable Synth

That is just a very basis example synth, with a piano-like sound.

Try a proper synth plugin e.g. “General MIDI Synth” (comes with Ardour on windows),
or any of Instrument for Windows - Page 1 of 193
