New Emergencies with THE STEPFORD CRASH PILOTS

THE STEPFORD CRASH PILOTS have been wreaking havoc in the studio again…! Play it LOUD.

What you hear is a 1999 Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor 2 , both pickups and all controls maxed, into the formidable Rangemaster-type kit by DAS MUSIKDING, dialed in at 02:00, into the Normal channel of a VOX AC15C1, input resistor and bright cap removed, Vol almost full, master Vol at appr. 04:00.

From there we go into the cheapest available attenuator from Thomann and from its lineout into the Zoom U-22 interface and finally, into the ARDOUR digital audio workstaion on a GNU/Linux machine. Phew…!

Sounds pretty awesome, doesn’t it. Even with the inevitable loss of tone due to the the cheap, non-reactive attenuator. You don’t want to know what happens when the Greenback speaker in that beast of an amp is miked.

Keep on rockin’ in the free world!

Ceterum censemus Microsoft delendum esse.
