Need helps regard translating to zh_CN (or zh)

Currently i am doing this thing on a mac, and have just brought the ./waf configure and ./waf i18n_pot to be working.

while the dependences were installed by brew (and ./waf give me errors about some headers).
I’ve create these files:

./gtk2_ardour/po/zh_CN.po
./libs/ardour/po/zh_CN.po
./libs/tk/ytk/po/zh_CN.po
./libs/gtkmm2ext/po/zh_CN.po
  1. the zh.po files contain too much uncorrected machine translations.
therefore I turned to create a variant instead of maintaining.

  2. this region code is also used in my linux distro installations.

  3. i keep getting this message: Error processing appdata pot file - ignored,
maybe i shoud set up translating env on a linux distro.

  4. current repo version commit 0212c204b3a56f7eef8042c12c6ebea270db8f99 Date: Tue Nov 25 00:54:23 2025 +0100

i wonder if these are correct for making a patch and need a confirmation. or whether should i focus on fixing the existing zh.po files?

another question about translating

beside this, i need more description about entries as such:

C_redits
_License
_Hue:
_Save color here

i have no idea about the context of these staffs.

The Credits and License entries are in the Help/About page and describe who have contributed to the Ardour source code and the license it’s released under

The Cambridge Dictionary describes hue as “a degree of lightness, darkness, strength, etc. of a colour” and it’s found in the Edit/Preferences/Color menu.
And if you right-click on one of the Palette: colors you get the “Save color here” menu
