I’ve used other DAWS that have a mute/unmute all and solo/unsolo all button. This is extremely useful and I would love to see it in Ardour.
Ctrl-shift click on any button such as solo/mute/rec-enable operates on all. No need for any extra real estate. The rude solo button/indicator (upper right of editor) can be used to disable solo.
