Moving regions

Getting Stuff Done How do I .... ?

Hello,

I’ld like to move a region like described in the manual:
http://ardour.org/files/manual/sn-working-with-regions.html
With the most projects of mine it works fine.
But I’ve got one project in which I can not move a region
by dragging the region with Button1 (in object mode).
Maybe it’s a faulty operation, but I do not find out what I’ve done wrong.
Any hints?

P.S: I’m using ardour 1.6.1 on Debian Lenny

Hi,

first idea:

Have you accidently set the edit mode to “lock edit” in the upper left? In this case, you still can override this behaviour with button3-drag.

Hi Benjamin,

thank you for your hint. The edit mode was “Splice Edit”. After changing it
to “Slide Edit” moving works fine.
