Moving phrases freely per recording track does not work anylonger

After installation 8.12.0 there seams to be a new feature linking tracks per channel.

as to : I can’t move a track time n+2 in front of time n+1

respectively when deleting time n+1 , time n+2 jumps to position time n+1

I can see his may be useful in some circumstances.

But when I am writing my songs , I record phrases and move them around until I get a coherent musical idea which I then build on.

How do I get unrestricted movements of phrases back ?

Moving multiple regions together along the timeline. I use it to create gaps in the timeline to insert other stuff without having to select every single region on every track.
