I know it’s possible to change and add keyboard-shortcuts but is it possible to change the behavior of the mouse?
My mouse-wheel-button is a little bit too sensitive and I keep accidentally deleting notes while editing the velocity of midi-notes.
I would like to disable the click (not the scroll) of the mousewheel in Ardour.
My only option at the moment is outside Ardour with something like xinput set-button-map 12 1 0 3 and put this in a script starting Ardour. And enable it again after quiting Ardour.
Is there a way to have control inside Ardour like there is for the keyboard?
No, mouse binding customization is generally not possible. Mouse interaction is nowhere near as simple as keyboard button press/release, and we deliberately chose not to trying to create a customization mechanism for it.
How do you delete notes while adjusting their velocity?
Clicking the scrollwheel on a note deletes the note. Scrolling on a selected note changes the velocity but if you press too hard on the button you delete the note, which happens occasionally.
