More Progess With MIDI

How does one going about testing Ardour with MIDI.

That’s really awesome
I pretty like the idea of velocity color coding

Looks really nice!

I’ve been longing for Midi-support in Ardour ever since I start using it.
Is there any possibility to try it out? I’m kind of a newbie to compiling
sources. Haven’t got it working yet. Can anyone tell me how it’s done?

it seems, as i got several times the same error, that i’ve just forgotten to export some values, so that scons uses the pre-released version of libsndfile in order to build ardour3 correctly. (no errors at all with the recent svn version 3830)

for successful building follow the instructions from paul davis on the ardour-devel mailinglist:
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.audio.ardour.devel/4343

regards,
Harald

I think its awesome!

Okay… I’d also like to play around with this… is this simply the SVN version… or is there a specific branch or something I need to use??

just pure awesomeness. i am going crazy just looking at this

@allank:
it’s the trunk version on svn.
the ongoing version is ardour 2.x development series.

but with the current revision r3802 i get building errors on both versions.

I can say that piano-roll is the common ground that is useful to everyone, even if it’s not their first choice. This is a great work! Kudos!
