I have been for months struggling to synch mixbus as a “Master” with a Roland MV8800 as a “Slave” and it would not work; has anyone tried to synch either ardour or mixbus with any external hardware such as a workstation or MPC?
If it will sync with MTC, then it shouldn’t be difficult. Ardour can generate and slave to MTC pretty dang well in my experience.
If however it only syncs with MIDI Clock, which is not the same as the MIDI TimeCode mentioned above, then you are out of luck without other solutions as well and likely more headache than it is worth.
