Is it possible to use a Mackie Control Universal (MCU) (old original model) as the master and a Behringer X-Touch Extender as an extender?

I have the MCU now, but one fader is going out. I’ll probably eventually get a Behringer X-touch and a Behringer X-Touch extender, but I thought I might buy the extender first if I could use it with the MCU in the meantime.

For what it’s worth, this works perfectly. Didn’t even have to make a custom profile. Choosing “one extender with Mackie Control” works just fine.
