If Ardour has strip type velocity editor(just like qtractor, cubase…etc). Editing note’s velocity will be more convient than current version.
And I think MIDI TRACKS can be seprated into MIDI channel track and optional MIDI Synth Rack track. For example, edit multiple channel in a MIDI track is too hard to use. And lots of plugin has full 16 channel MIDI input. So, we can use seprated MIDI channel to send MIDI message to MIDI Synth Rack or external soft/hard synth. and get more flexible.
Some of MIDI operation can be move to the left dialog, like quantize, it will be more pretty and convient.
P.S. Some more features about MIDI track is RAW message support. For example, sysex or meta data or Start/Stop message send to MIDI device will request this function. And a old school synth S-YXG50VSTi requires this feature too~
