MIDI notes disappear at boundary

Just downloaded Ardour 6 for Linux. Ubuntu 20.04.

So, I have some MIDI tracks I imported from another program. I sliced them up into repeatable patterns of a couple of bars apiece, but when I adjust the notes within using the pencil tool, when it snaps to the boundary of the pattern, the note disappears. The only way I can get the notes to the edge of the boundary is to turn off snapping, expand the pattern a bit, and place the note at the beginning of the bar. As long as it is not adjacent to the pattern boundary, it’s there.

Also, I noticed that when the notes disappear, if I expand the pattern by a little bit, the notes reappear.

What am I doing wrong?

So that’s what I was doing wrong…not looking hard enough on the tracker.

Thank you!
