MIDI clips does not send to external hardware synths

Hello,
I’m having troubles using hardware synths on Ardour 8 in either midi connection (MIDI/USB interface) or USB cable.

I would like to use MIDI clips to sequence my synths but they do not receive any midi instruction from them (i have a behringer k-2, pro VS mini and korg monotribe).
But when I use my keybord it works normally, i can also record some clips while hearing my synths normally but only because they listen to the keyboard. I routed the keyboard to the IN of the tracks, and outs to my synths. I also tried with JACK and ALSA in ardour. The problem is that when i listen to the recorded tracks with only midi clips they do not play. Each track is configured to listen and send only the MIDI channel corresponding to the keyboard and synths. I’m pretty sure I did the routing well but maybe i’m missed something important…

I can’t continue working as I would like to since there is this issue and i’m really stuck :frowning: if someone have an idea of what can be wrong please that will be awesome!! thanks a lot  I can send pictures or more informations if needed!

(sorry if my english is not perfect)

Add a screenshot of the mixer showing this session …

the “2” input of the audio interface is where all my synths are entering, and I use the audio bus to listen to them together before recording them separately on each audio tracks grouped with the associate MIDI tracks.
On this configuration, all synths (K2 and pro VS) are connected in USB, not with the midi interface

Do the meters on the MIDI tracks move?

They move when i play notes with th keybord, but not when I lauch MIDI clips, they do not move. BUT they move when I draw notes on the regions (but I don’t hear synths).

Thanks for giving attention to my issue

I can’t test this fully right now, because my audio/MIDI hardware interface is dead.

But I tested with clips and the meters move just fine.

Not sure what could be wrong here.

I would fire up an external MIDI monitor (I use gmidimonitor), connect it to the relevant track output and see if it sees any MIDI events.

ok i just looked with gmidimonitor in the outs of the midi tracks and it doesn’t receive any midi instruction, but i just realised something weird, the “drums E2 MIDI” track has the meter moving when I launch MIDI clips on this one, but still no sound from it (this is a sampler that I use for drums), and also no midi instruction from the track in gmidimonitor…
all that is really weird… i’m pretty sure i’m missing something but I can’t understand what…

btw it may be usefull to know that I use LibaZik on Deb bullseye
