LSP lv2 Showing Greetings Window on Every Launch

Hi,

I hope this is an acceptable topic for this forum. The LSP plugins are amazing and there is just a small thing that I wish were different.

They open the “Greetings!” window every time I open a plugin from Ardour. I’m using 1.2.21 and Ardour 8. I installed the plugins manually in ~/.lv2/

I can’t find any reference to this behaviour online. The window says “To not be very annoying, this dialog will be shown only after each version update of plugins” :frowning:

@SadKo Do you have any idea why this might happen?

It’s odd since Ardour won’t load LV2 plugins at startup to begin with, they are only instantiated when a session uses a given plugin.

Sorry but this is a known regression in 1.2.21.
LSP plugins can not create configuration file and save a parameter about the Greeting dialog has been shown. As a workaround just create an empty configuration file as described here:
