Loop a region independently of other tracks

Hi all,

is it possible (or technically feasible) to assign record-play-stop buttons to each MIDI track independent of the other tracks?
So that, for example:

Track no. 1: 5 second region that play on loop;
Track no. 2: 4 minutes that I play it in full from start to finish;
Track no. 3: 8 second region that I play on loop (regardless of where it is on the timeline);

etc.
Is there any way to do this in Ardour or in general in a DAW?
