After I have locked a marker using the lock button I still can click on the X button and the marker will be removed (the X button still remains active). To me it is more of a bug than a feature!

“Locked” means “cannot be moved”, not “cannot be removed”

Oh I see! In that sense the functionality is different from the locked of the Ranges: locked Ranges also cannot be “removed”
