Licensing - max allowed simultaneous uses

Hello

I made a download payment about a year ago and have installed Ardour on a couple of OSX machines. Use is commercial although my company is nowhere near profitable yet.

With that in mind:

  1. On how many machines may I run Ardour simultaneously?

  2. On how many machines may I have Ardour installed simultaneously?

  3. Do the rules change at all between Windows and OSX versions?

The answer for every one of your questions is: -There’s no restrictions.

Ardour is GPL’ed licensed. You may do anything that you want with it. If you give it to anyone else, you must give them the same rights to do whatever they want. That’s it. Nothing more.

OK, thanks very much.

I knew about the GPL and its implications for source code distribution, but wasn’t sure if that directly implied no restrictions on simultaneous use of the compiled product, for a given payment. I’ll try to donate in future if I am in a better financial position.
