I’ve just installed ubuntu studio and giving Ardour a crack. I have a pretty old computer and needed to bump the latency up to 2048 frames to avoid xruns. I selected HW monitoring so that everything sounded ok and I was expecting that ardour would automatically compensate when overdubbing so that my tracks lined up. Unfortunately they don’t line up.
How do I automatically compensate? For now I’ve just been manually shifting the tracks after each overdub.
