I’m running Ardour 2.3 under Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron. My keyboard no longer functions for commands. For instance, the space bar should play and stop, and ctrl-s should split a region. I am still able to use my mouse to click Transport>>Start/Stop or Edit>>Split Region.
Is there a config file or something that can be causing this problem?
That’s a good suggestion. It’s worth a try. This is not the first time this has happened and because I needed to get stuff done I had to completely re-install the OS. I tried just uninstalling Ardour (including the configuration files) but that didn’t work. Thank you.
Maybe delete your .ardour folder in your home directory?
NOTE: THIS WILL RESET ALL ARDOUR PERSONAL PREFERENCES, TRY JUST RENAMING THE FOLDER FIRST TO SOMETHING ELSE THEN FIRE UP ARDOUR AND SEE.
