KDE plugins on top issue

Since I switched from Xubuntu to Kubuntu I struggled with the plugin windows not staying visible on top, when I click anywhere in the Ardour GUI, the editor for example.
Now, by accident, I stumbled accross a section in the Ardour manual that explains that behaviour and proposes a workaround Ardour KDE 5 ancillary windows on top
I followed the instructions as close as possible, but since this seems to be an older explanaition the steps didn’t match exactly the GUI workflow of the current Plasma 5.27.11 System Settings application.

Are there any other KDE users who have experience with this and got this working? Are there any considerations for current Plasma versions?

Can you try to enable

Ardour > Preferences> Appearance > Quirks > All floating windows are dialogs

That was the missing link!
Seems to work now, thanks
