John Option: lifestyle obsession

today we have published the video of another single of John Option:
Lifestyle obsession.
As usual we published the song under the terms of the Creative Commons
License (CC-BY-SA) and we produced it only with free software:
Ardour, Hydrogen, Jack, Qsynth, CALF, and many other
great free audio software that we used under Debian GNU/Linux.

Here you can listen the single and see the video (made with kdenlive):

As for the previous songs we published in our website[1] the single
recording tracks and the complete Ardour session. All this material is
published under the terms of the Creative Commons license Attribution
Share alike so that anyone can use our tracks to produce a remix of our
song or even a new song that have to be published under the same license.

Best regards,

I’m glad to see that there are also other people trying to do old school rock and roll besides me

I think the part that starts the song is absolute gold and I love it  The simple but effective guitar + bass rhythm combined with how the rhythmics from the singers voice dances around it is absolutely fabulous. Really great work

I like how you pulled the bass to the front of the mix and let the guitar come more from behind it, its sound bouncing of the walls more. This makes the bass and guitar sounds merge into one very solid and pleasant block of sound.

The third part of the song with the harmonica feels a bit out of place, you could have perhaps replaced it with the fast part from the end of the song. But hey 7 billion people 7 billion opinions

Anyway great work and please keep writing more songs

Many thanks mhartzel!! Comments like yours pushing me in my recording room to handle my telecaster and push the recording button of Ardour!
