Issue with track's visualization

I’m gettin’ this issue again with track’s waves. It’s annoying. It seems bug persists with new update. I’m usin’ Win10.

It appears when you apply zoom in/out to tracks.

Grab the right-hand end of one of those clips and pull it slightly to the left (i.e. to shorten the audio slightly, rather than slipping the clip). Does that fix it?

try Ardour Menu > Session > Cleanup > Rebuild Peak files

Update. It appears again, even in recording mode. Another thing, after this bug appears, you were able to record just 1 beat.

This is not known behavior. I have never seen it reported before. Seems likely to be a system-specific issue, rather than some problem fundamental to Ardour.

Update. My gear is Guitar → POD HD500 ( guitar pedalboard with audio interface) → PC

I changed the Buffer Size from 512 to 1024. Bug is gone. I’ll try to finish the recording session this week and I will post a new update.

EDIT: I’m working with a copy of a version made with Ardour 6

Not sure if it’ll be relevant but there’ve been occasions when strange things happened because the device’s buffer size didn’t change to reflect changes you’d made in Ardour. For example, your POD HD500 interface might be stuck on 1024, even though you’re changing it in Ardour. Does the POD HD500X come with its own control panel app (or whatever)? If so, try opening the app occasionally and check to see if it’s set to the same value you’ve set in Ardour.
