Is there a Lua Script for controllermapping?

I am looking for a way to quickly link an automationvalue to a predefined knob on my midicontroller. So that with just one click a selected automation is armed for recording values, which i input through that predefined knob on my controller.
Maybe there is also another way to do this?

Sounds like Generic MIDI control surface with MIDI-Learn is what you want.

Ctrl+middle-click on a control slider, and then move the knob on your MIDI controller and it’s linked. see The Ardour Manual - Generic MIDI Learn
