hello. I have a dual boot lenovo (win11 on one partition, linux mint on other) with ardour9 running great on linux partition.
my only problem is that I love toontrack superior drummer2 which is not linux compatible without wine, hence my only reason for using win11.
I have not connected win11 partition to the internet in well over a year and I’d like to keep it that way.
I trigger sd2 from my roland td20. I’m not looking for alternatives to sd for linux.
instead I’m wondering if I install ardour on win11 partition, will I need an active internet connection to do so? can ardour be installed on win11 from a flash drive?
I am currently subscribing to ardour at $1 per month.
Yes, you can install Ardour without an internet connection.
After installing go into menu Edit/Preferences and at the bottom of General uncheck the box for “check for announcements at startup.”
ty, will try that asap
so I got it working, thanks again
