Hello!
Ardour is missing a basic feature found in GIMP:
In the “help/About” section, a system that shows whether an update has been released for the current version and suggests an update (with a link to the update that opens the download page for the correct version). It would also be helpful to indicate whether the suggested update is critical (a major bug fix) and should be installed as soon as possible, or if it can wait (just a suggestion). Thank you !
