Impossible! out of sync

Hello

Ardour 7.5.0 / AV_Linux_MX_Edition-21.1_ahs_x64

I usually run Ardour by first opening a terminal so as to see any messages.

After a while the terminal starts filling up with:
IMPOSSIBLE! OUT OF SYNC (delta = -148992) WITH JACK TRANSPORT (rlp = 0 wlp 1620).

Can anyone tell me what this is and how to fix it?

When Ardour uses JACK transport it should be impossible for Ardour’s time position to differ from JACK’s.

I have no idea how this can happen. Is this jackd or PipeWire?

The solution is simple: do not use JACK-transport, but Ardour’s internal transport (toggle button below the main transport controls, top-left).

I’m using jackd. Prior to Ardour 7 I would start jackd via qjackctl before starting Ardour. It is now started automatically with Ardour. As I sync Hydrogen to Ardour I kinda need jackd. I have had other sync issues with Ardour/Jack/Hydrogen and I would gladly do without it if anyone suggest another way to sync Hydrogen to Ardour?
