Since ardour let’s you see the eq curve of any eq via the plugin alternative view, wouldn’t it be nice if somehow just show that curve on the inline view of the plugin like a-eq does.

that’s a good suggestion for improvement. I think that can only be implemented if other software manufacturers disclose the code. For example: MeldaProduction. A great plugin maker. But unfortunately not an open source software manufacturer. That was just an example.
