How to use the A/B Plugins Feature

All,

I’ve searched the manual but I cannot find any instructions on how to use the A/B Plugins feature on the processor box context menu.

Did I miss it in the manual?

Thank you

Nice catch! I need to document that

The A/B Plugins menu item switches off the bypass for active plugins in the processor box. When you click it again, it switches them back on. If one plugin already has bypass disabled, it will stay disabled whatever you do, unless you explicitly switch it back by clicking on the little LED icon.

Thank you! That makes sense.

What’s involved with helping with the manual?

I’ve read it end to end about three times and have noticed a number of typos and such.

I have contributed a midi map file for a control surface, so I’m familiar with forking the github repository and making a pull request.

Do I need other tools for editing the manual source?

No other tools required. It’s just text, marked up with HTML.

Thank you. I’ll make the fork and start reading :grinning:

Is this the LSP Plugin for A/B or is there something built into Ardour?
Sounds quite handy … does it do anything with the volume level, otherwise loudest wins

The feature described above is built into Ardour.
