How to release music with an open licence?

Hello I created a music with ardour and I want to licence it with GPL or another licence so that it can be used in game projects. I also want developers listen it without being stolen. How can I do this?

cc BY-SA is sort of like the GPL
cc BY is sort of like BSD

But with music, there is often (always) a twist. There are these things called compulsory or statutory licenses. Even if you don’t agree, the law will allow another artists to make a cover of your song and license it how they wish. The law will set the amount they have to pay you and reporting requirements for them etc.

(At least, I think it is something like that.)
