How to limit decimal places used in plugin faders

I notice that some plugins end up showing many decimal places for their parameters when the plugins are viewed in Generic GUI window.
000.000000000000000
I was wondering if there was a way to limit how many places are shown, or if Ardour has no control over this, completely plugin generated.

It is completely under Ardour’s control, and there’s no user-control offered.
