According to the manual
“Left-clicking and dragging moves a single marker to a new location on the timeline.”
“It is possible to move multiple markers by the same distance. CTRL-Left-clicking each marker creates a selection of markers that can be dragged left or right together.”
And finally
"By CTRL-left-dragging either end of the range marker, the other end will move by the same distance. "
Now, I don’t know what I did with my settings but it now always move both ends of the markers, with or without ctrl-left or ctrl-right or shift… I’ve tried everything.
If I create a loop, and I want to extend the loop by moving the right end, it move both ends. Instead of changing only the end of the loop, it changes the beginning and the end, but the duration remain the same. You see what I mean?
Same with the range markers.
I’m pretty sure it was possible to move only one marker before. I don’t know if I change some settings somewhere.
Never messed with this, but here’s the behavior I’m seeing, on 8.12.
I create a loop range. Neither is selected (neither have a little red triangle/arrow pointing toward the interior of the range, nor a red vertical line cutting through the tracks.)
I left-click on the left marker. It gets the little arrow & line.
Each marker still moves independently.
I ctrl-left-click on the right marker (sometimes more than once). The right marker gains the little arrow & line (and the left marker retains it as well. Now if I click (hold) and drag either marker, both markers move.
Then if I click and release a marker (sometimes more than once), the marker I click becomes the sole “active” marker, and they will then move separately.
Yes, after selection is made all selected markers move together. But selecting other marker (without control or shift) or hitting escape deselect them and they should move independently again.
Nope, it doesn’t work.
Both ends of the loop move, wether the regions are selected or not.
One point though, my loop markers are exclusively in the “loop/punch range”, there’s no start marker in it.
But if I click on one of the punch range for instance, or escap, both ends keep moving together.
edit: ok, I found it.
I had change something in the “modifiers” menu. I reset and everything went back to normal.
Thank you!
