After I transform the MIDI notes I’ve recorded to a random number between two velocities, the manual suggests selecting the first note of each measure and setting it to the maximum velocity. Is there a way to automate that? If I have 200 measures in song, that’s a lot of manual editing. Thanks!
Where in the manual is this suggestion? I can’t find it on the midi-transform page?
It makes no sense to me to set every first note of a measure to the max. You could lift up the general velocitie to the max by selecting all midi-notes and then increase the velocity, and so maintaining the differences of velocity of the notes.
Oh, I’m sorry, it was on this tutorial on YouTube. https://youtu.be/TvYY2x8-NtM?si=Y7HH8rcJD1T-U-Ci
The suggestions isn’t to set the velocity to the max it can be (127 I believe), but to the max of the range you selected. So, you transform to a random range, then go back and set the downbeat of each measure to the max of the range you are using. If you are using a range between 65 and 80, the downbeat would be set to 80 in each measure.
