For everyone asking that question, take a look at this:

It’s an Ardour 2.0 tutorial. I’m surprised I’ve never
heard of this before. I think it deserves a link on the Ardour web site(maybe under the “Manual” or “Support” sections).

That looks just what I am after.

I realize that it is a work in progress but is there anywhere I can download it and print it off as I will be running it on a pc without an internet connection.
