How do I keep the region length bug from happening?

I’m not fully sure if it should be reported as a bug, but the region length longer than source bug struck again at one of my sessions. I fixed it myself now that I know how. But that session was set as Audio (wallclock) time.

I believe that’s what I was told would prevent future bugs of that sort but I guess I misunderstood.
What exactly should I do to prevent that bug from happening?

I don’t have an answer for you, but if you are able to reproduce this , that would be helpful to the developers. I think they are still trying to replicate this issue so they can find the root cause. Do you happen to know what you were doing when this happened or any ideas as to what may have caused it ?

I was editing as usual. That said after getting the session back I looked for the regions that were problematic in my project. And the one I could find was a region I had reversed.

It was to make a riser for a section from a guitar’s sustaining strings.
So I chopped off the section I wanted, ctrl+click to copy and move to the location I wanted , adjusted to fit a bar then right click > edit > reverse . What I may have done afterwards is adjust the length of the reversed segment again. Maybe that’s what caused the rounding error?

Now that I think of it the previous session that I had this bug strike in also had reversed regions

Interesting. The one time I encountered this bug in one of my projects was also when I did some reversing of audio regions. I couldn’t tell anymore, though, if these were the regions that got corrupted.
