I add midi track with the ZynAddSubFX instrument plugin. I browse during the many banks and sounds availabe and finally settle for one.
I close the plugin screen and record someting in the midi track with the selected sound.
I save. Next time I open the session in Ardour 9 the track with the ZynAddSubFX has reverted to some default bank, not the one I used before.
Anybody knows what am I missing here to make bank selection stick?
Thanks for the suggestion. Althoug it does not seem to work with this synth plugin. I get the generic Midi Patches to choose from but not what the plugin actually has on offer.
Like with SurgeXT or OB-Xd Plugins, what bank/patch I select in the plugin stays active in the track. But that Syn plugin doesn’t do that.
Probably a good idea to back up and get some basic information.
Which operating system?
Which Ardour build and version? From ardour.org, from a linux distribution, built yourself, etc.
Which plugin format?
Thanks. So I went ahead and installed ardour 9 on a second machine and added the zyn plugin and it works!
Guess I have to take apart the installation on the other machine where it doesn’t work the same way.
Both run EndeavourOS Linux with KDE/Wayland.
I have ardour-9 installed via ardour-git from AUR.
Big difference is the list of plugins. That’s probably where I should start looking.
