How do i bounce busses? / Is there a Lua script to do that?

As the title says: I wonder what is the quickest way to bounce a bus to a new audio track. Creating new tracks, rerouting and recording is prette slow.
:snail:

One way is to stem-export the bus and re-import to a new track (checkbox in export dialog).
That can work faster than realtime.

Other than that, what you describe: new track, connect I/O and record.

Pro-tip: if you select the bus before opening the Session > Export > Stem-Export dialog, it is automatically selected for export.

Thanks! Not sure if it’s much quicker to delete the unnecessary files later but i will give it a try to see how it works for me! I think Bitwig has a elegant solution for this with rightclick → bounce in place or bounce to new track.
Is there a reason bouncing busses is not possible in the editor? To me it seems like something that’s handy pretty often.

It is possible for audio tracks where “bounce in place” is possible, but since busses cannot hold audio or MIDI data…

It is very workflow dependent. I almost never do this.
