For some reason I cannot for the life of me get Ardour to find my computers speakers? I can select an audio input/output, but my speakers do not show up in the list, nor does my microphone. This is my first time using audio editing software and I am also still very much learning Linux, so I am probably just missing something silly but if anyone knows whats going on i am very lost. Thank you!

What settings do you use In Ardour Menu > Audio/MIDI Setup?
How are your speakers connected to the system? Laptop speakers, or external ones? What audio interface do you use? USB? onboard sound-card?
Uhm i was trying to just use default settings? i just have my computer speakers and idk what audio interface I use T-T
Does that mean speakers built in to your computer, or external speakers which you have connected to your computer in some way?
What kind of microphone? How is it connected to your computer?
The ones built into my computer, and again the built in mic. Im just getting started with bolth the computer and the software, so dont have anything other than the built in stuff
