How can I turn off horizontal scrolling affecting the Panning of my tracks in the mixer view?

I am on a laptop, running CachyOS and KDE on Wayland, and I like to slide my fingers side to side to scroll through my tracks. But I don’t pay attention to where the mouse cursor is and I keep adjusting the panning. My initial look in the manual for panning just tells me what it does but I didn’t see how to turn off horizontal scroll but only for adjusting the panning.

Edit 1: Reading through this now The Ardour Manual - Stereo Panner but I don’t see how to turn off what I am trying to

I think this is a feature, not a bug. It’s quite useful to be able to finely adjust the panner like this. Just make sure your cursor is not over the panner when you scroll.

It seems like a great feature don’t get me wrong. It is just that I have had to readjust the panning because I am not used to this. Instead of getting used to it I think being able to toggle it off would be nice.

It doesn’t have to be added I was just curious if there was a built in way to do so.
