I noticed that in the editor if you hit the escape key it will deselect items.
However if nothing is selected for some reason it keeps opening up the “Plugins Used” dialog box which is not desired.
Does anyone know if this can be turned off?
You cannot do a keyword search for key names in Preferences - keyboard shortcuts so I cannot look up “escape”
and I tried keywords “used” and “plugin” to see if I could find what is using that hotkey.
I find myself hitting escape to make sure nothing is selected and this dialog box keeps on popping up.
Hopefully this escape hotkey is not hard coded into Ardour itself.

Some windows allow for “escape” to be used to close, out of habit I might have tried it in the shortcuts window and assigned “escape” as a hotkey somewhere.

Ahh that was it, the reset worked.
When I first noticed this, it was strange because it was acting like it was on purpose because it would deselect if items were selected but then open dialog if none were.
I was going to say, in older versions I do not ever remember this happening, I thought you or Paul had lost your mind for a second with this decision
