A friend sent me a session for Ardour. I downloaded Ardour from the site but when I open the session. I get the message Failed to Start Process thread. I’m not sure what to do…is there a certain way to set ardour up before you can open up a session? How can i fix the error so I can open up the session.
Can you create new empty session?
It seems the Audio/MIDI device setup is somehow invalid, perhaps an invalid device setting, wrong sample-rate, or too small buffersize? What settings Do you use?
i think I can create a new session. how do I check if the Audio/Midi is setup correctly…i think I got it…i changed the setting but now it says it can’t find audio file…does that mean it was saved incorrectly?
If you’re still looking, you can open up the device control panel and make sure the audio input and output are both set to the correct kHz. The Mac speakers are at the lowest by default so just set both to the same number, make sure the Ardour kHz matches and it should be good to go.
