Have Ardour Appear In Carla

Hi,

I’m not sure if this is exactly the right place for this question but I’m trying to work out how to make ardour appear inside of carla with Pipewire.

I have Pipewire setup but when I set both Carla and Adour to PulseAudio the Ardour node doesn’t appear inside of Carla.

I’ve had this work with both using JACK but I’m not sure if there is an extra setting I need to set somewhere for it to work with Pipewire?

Edit:
Also when I set Ardour to PulseAudio I don’t get any input connection at all.

That is correct. Pulseaudio is a desktop audio system, not usually for pro-audio. Ardour only offers if for convenience: Audio Playback only (no MIDI either).

With pipewire, use pipewire’s JACK emulation.

So does this mean using JACK in both Carla and Ardour? And by setting both programs as JACK it’s actually using Pipewire?

Correct, as long as the pipewire-jack module is installed.
